Temple Community Clinic was established in 1992 by two local Physicians, Dr. Jeff Jackson and Dr. Gopal Guttikonda through a Leadership Temple Project. During their careers, they saw too many working people who were without proper healthcare due to eligibility or prohibitive cost. They could not stand to see their neighbors suffer so, they created a solution.

For 25 years, through the hearts of volunteers and the generosity of community supporters, the Temple Community Clinic has filled the gap in access to healthcare for Bell County. Although there have been changes, not EVERYONE can access the care they need. Even with the Affordable Care Act, many make too little to qualify for the subsidies and/or too much to qualify for Medicaid. With these circumstances, the compassion of Temple Community Clinic is as important as ever.
